Opening

"God is the Light of the Heavens and the Earth, The parable of His light is , as it were , that of a niche containing a Lamp ; The Lamp is enclosed in a Glass , the Glass like a radiant star ; lit from a blessed tree -an Olive tree That is neither of the east nor of the west- The oil of which would almost give light even though fire had not touched it ; light upon light! God Guide to his Light the one who wills to be guided; and God offers parables to human beings, since God has full knowledge of all things."

Mercy to the World - The Glorious Night of journey & Ascension

The Glorious Night of  journey (Isra) & Ascension (Mi'raj):

The night of journey (Isra):

From El Masjid Al Haram-- to-- El Masjid Al-Aqsa
Glorified be He who took his servant for a journey by night from the Masjid Al-Haram to the Masjid Al-Aqsa, the surroundings we have blessed, in order to show him some of Our signs. Indeed , He is the all-Hearing, the all-Seeing.(The Holly Qur'an Al-Isra 17;1 )
This verse talks about the most remarkable miracles of Muhammad (PUH), the night of journey (Isra). This journey had two phases: The horizontal from the Ka'aba in Makkah (El Masjid El Haram - The sacred Mosque ), to the historic masjid (Al-Aqsa) in Jerusalem. The second was the vertical phase from Al-Aqsa to the divine throne (Mi'raj) night of Ascension .
The purpose of this journey is “to show him Our signs”. The Saying literarture gives graphic details of this momentous journey. The verse begins with one of the Divine attributes, “Subhaan”, (Glorified). Let us look at the significance of this:
The diameter of the universe according to the astronomers is 3 billion light years, an incredible distance unimaginable, to the human intellect. The question is how could such a fantastic distance be covered in such a short period of night? We need not search any further, since the Glorious Qur'an tells us it was Subhaan who took His servant from the sacred mosque to the furthest mosque. The Divine name "Subhaan":  the one who is flawless without defect or weakness, the Glorified, The Qur'an claims the One took His servant on this miraculous journey is the one who is free from every kind of weakness.
The Lord of the universe, Who can create from nothing by the mere command of ‘kun’ (Be) and ‘fa-yakun’ (it becomes), by using the divine epithet “Subhaan”, the clouds of doubt vanish in the air ! Hence the denial of the Miraj is not the denial of the miraculous journey, but the power of Allah.

El Masjid El Aqsa (farthest mosque) :

The House of Worship at Quds in Jerusalem was first built by Prophet Isaac (PUH.) 40 years after the foundation of Holy Ka’aba at Makkah by his father Prophet Abraham (PUH.) and his brother Prophet Ismail (PUH). Prophet Solomon (PUH) renewed it ,The Holy Quran was the first to call it a MOSQUE like the Sacred Mosque of Makkah. This is the high rank awarded to Al-Quds by Islam..
Moreover, there is very chequered history of construction and destruction of this House. It was finished by Prophet Solomon (PUH) about 1004 B.C. destroyed by Babylonians under Nebuchad-nezzar about 586 B.C., rebuilt under Ezra and Nehemiah about 515 B.C. turned into a heathen idol temple by one of Alexander’s successors, Antiochus Epiphanes in 167 B.C. restored again by Herod B.C. 17 to A.D. 29 and then completely razed to the ground by Emperor Titus in A.D. 70” ( AYA note 2168). It was again built in 135 A.D. by the Jews and again destroyed by the Christians later. When Muslim forces conquered Jerusalem and Caliph Omar Ibn al Khattab visited the site he built a mosque in the Holy Precincts.

The Dome of Rock (Inside look)

Later the Dome of Rock was built by Caliph Abdul Malik bin Marwan in 72 A.H. (690 A.D.) and after his death Waleed bin Abdul Malik completed the Masjid Al Aqsa which stands until today. Muslim have high respect for Al Aqsa Mosque "The farthest mosque" as it is the first Qibla of Islam and one of the Three Harems.

The Ascension (Mi'raj):

Mi-raj was a physical & spiritual ascension of The Prophet Muhammad (PUH), not a vision or dream in sleep or slumber, because even ordinary men see such things in their dreams. It was no doubt a spiritual realisation but attained by an actual journey. That was a Trip towards the higher world as a Prophet, since another part of the journey of Ascension of the Prophet (PUH) is explained in verses of al‑Najm :

Then he revealed to his servent what he revealed, his (The prophet's heart) did not falsify what he saw...when there enshrouded the Lote tree that wich enshroudeth, his eye wavered not , nor did it transgress verily he beheld, of all the signs of his lord, the Greatest.

The Prophet of Islam (PUH) began his historical night journey, along with the trusted protector of the revelation, the Angel Gabriel (Jibra'il) from the house of Umm al Hani, the daughter of his uncle and sister of Amir al‑Mo'minin Ali (A.S) in the blessed city of Makkah.

The Messenger (PUH) says:
“One night I was asleep, in the The sacred Mosque near the Kaabah when I was woken by Gabriel . He informed me of the Diving will and took me to the well of ZamZam, where upon he opened my chest and poured wisdom and faith into it. Then he sealed it. I was then presented with a beautiful Buraq. This is an animal larger than a mule but smaller than a horse. I mounted it.”
It traveled at phenomenal speed. The Messenger (PUH) was soon at the second precinct of Masjid al-Aqsa (The farthest mosque). There all of the prophets (124,000 prophets) of the past ages Before Him were assembled and waiting for him. He lead them in congregational prayer, This noble assembly marked the end of the horizontal part of the journey. From here, accompanied by The Angel Gabriel , the Messenger (PUH) traveled on the Buraq ascending the heavens.

This noble assembly marked the end of the horizontal part of the journey. From here,  accompanied by Gabriel (A.s), the Messenger (PUH) traveled on the Buraq ascending the heavens:

In the first heaven, He (PUH) met Adam (PUH), who greated The Prophet Muhammed (PUH) with love and affection in thewords, “Welcome O righteous Son!” , The ascension continued to the second heavens where He (PUH) met Jesus (PUH) and John (PUH), then on to the third heaven where He (PUH) was met by Joseph (PUH), on the fourth by Idriss (PUH), on the fifth by Aaron (PUH), and on the sixth by Moses (PUH) and on the seventh He (PUH) was greeted by Abraham (PUH) , & The journey continued beyond the heavens until He (PUH) reached the Baiy al Mamur , (The Kaabah of the Angels), from where He (PUH) ascended to the Lote tree of the uttermost boundary. Thas is the focal point of the Divine mercy. The Angel Gabriel (A.S) then reached the point where he was not allowed to travel any further. It was at this point that he parted from Muhammad (PUH), saying: “Oh! Muhammad! Beyond this is for you. No permission is given to me to pass one inch beyond it.”

Then The Prophet (PUH) asked him, “ Gabriel , you have accompanied me all the way from Mecca reaching up to here and you are leaving me alone Now? I don’t know the way.”

Angel Gabriel Replied: “Oh Muhammad! Beyond this is only for you, not for me. A strict order is given to me From The Lord saying: `If you pass beyond this limitation then you will be sent to non-existence, If i go one step further i will be burned.”

Then  The  Prophet Muhammed (PUH) continued alone As the The Glorious Qur'an alludes to it (53:8)
Then he drew near, very near, like two bows lengths or even closer. And He revealed to His servant what He revealed
This Journey of Isra and Miraj is journey of Love that starts from the earthly ka'abah and ends in the heavenly ka'abah (Throne of God), of which the earthly ka'abah is a symbolic reflection , so Islam too starts with Allah and ends with him . In other words the journey of Isra and Miraj represents, in a deeper sense , the Ultimate pilgrimage towards Allah , in relation to which the earthly pilgrimage is a symbolic imitation, for in the pilgrimage to the Ka'abah a person moves from his home to the Ka'abah , but in Isra - Miraj , The Prphet (PUH) moved from the Ka'abah towards the Almighty lord It simultaneously Constitutes , a  Pilgrimage towards one's own inwards ka'abah or towards the trans-personal depth of one's own heart Likewise this Journey represents , in a deeper sense ,what we call the Greater Holy war  "Al Jihad El Akbar" against the ceducible Ego and the seductive World in search of the Lord , through 70.000 veils of light and darkness that hide the almighty God from us .
it is a Journey from multiplicity to Unity , From many to One , From the visible to invisible , and from Time to Eternity .it constitutes a positive Movement of Muhammad (PUH) towards Allah  leaving behind what is other than he , This is the ultimate State of Tawhid , The Goal of All spirituality in Islam.

Mercy to the World - Old Scriptures Identify Prophet Mohammad (PUH)

Tubba The Yamani Ruler:

the Tubba dynasty of the Himyar kingdom

People of Tubba are referred in The Holy Quran (44:37). It was the title of Himyar Kings of Yemen whose rule once extended over the whole of Arabia. They later adopted Jewish and Christian religion. The Holy Prophet (PUH) sent an embassy to Himyar King of Yemen in 9-10 AH and they embraced Islam. (A.Y.A. P 1350-note 4715) During the third century AD (Chirag 487)ie about 300 years before the birth of Holy Prophet (PUH) King of Tubba passed through Yathreb. He had 400 religious scholars (Jews and Christians) with his army who asked his permission to stay in this town. On his question as to why they wanted to stay there they replied that it is mentioned in their Holy scriptures that the Last Prophet whose name is Mohammad will migrate and settle down in this town.
King Tubba was much delighted to know about it. He allowed them to reside and at the same time he built a big house for the expected Prophet. He also wrote a letter to the last Prophet paying his respect to him and gave this letter to the great scholar to pass this letter to the Prophet through his coming generations. as recorded  that Ayyub al Ansari was one among the descendant of that scholar and that he passed that letter to Holy Prophet (PUH) on his arrival at El Madina Munawwara.
The focal point of this story is that the early Jews and Christians were well aware about the emergence of the Last Prophet and his migration to Madina Munawwara.

Bahira (Georges) The Christian Monk Of Syria :

Busra The Roman City in Syria
Ancient Roman Road of Bursa City
Monastery of Bahira (Georges) the Monk
Monastery of Bahira (Georges) the Monk (Inside Look)

Twenty eight years before his Prophet-hood when young Mohammad (PUH) was a boy of 12 years Old  he accompanied his uncle Abu Taleb on a trade caravan to Syria. They halted at a place called Busra (near Howran in Syria and not Basra of Iraq) The Christian monk Bahira (actual name Georges) of a nearby Church entertained them lavishly. He had never done so before. Ibn Hisham reports: as Bahira invited the peopl of the caravan to be his guests, he saw something special in the Young Boy Muhammed, he began to eye keenly and to observe the features of his body so as to find out in him the signs (of Prophet-hood) which he already knew (from the Holy Scriptures). Then, when the party had finished eating and had broken up Bahira went to him (for discussion)". (A.H.S. P.60)
He readily enough recognized the Prophet (PUH) and said while taking his hand:" This is the master of all humans. Allah will send him with a Message which will be a mercy to all beings." Abu Talib asked: "How do you know that?" He replied: "When you appeared from the direction of 'Aqabah, all stones and trees prostrated themselves, which they never do except for a Prophet. I can recognize him also by the seal of Prophet-hood which is below his shoulder, like a pigeon egg. We also find him written in our Holy Books. (Raheeq-U 108).
Then he asked Abu Taleb about his relationship with the boy "He is my son", said Abu Taleb." No he cannot be your son. He should be an orphan, said the monk, I saw the branches of the shrubs bending upon him for shade. I recognized he should be the same Prophet who is mentioned in our Scriptures". (ENCY. 304) Then Bahira advised Abu Talib," Return to your own country with your nephew, and take care of him ,for, by God, if the jews see him and know what I know about him, they will desire evil; for great fortune is in store for your nephew. So hurry up to your country with him .
Abu Talib set out with him quickly and soon reached Mekka on the completion of their trade in Syria. (Ibn Hisham A.H.S P 61).

Waraqa Ibn Nofel the Christian Scolar:

Waraqa bin Nofel was a Quraish scholar who embraced Christianity at Makkah. He used to write and teach Bible in Hebrew and Arabic languages. He was a cousin of Khadija bint Khuwailed, the first wife of Holy Prophet (PUH). After the first revelation to the Holy Prophet (PUH). She took him to Waraqa and narrated the whole story of appearing an angel and asking him to read. The Christian scholar said to him: " This is Namus (the Arch Angel) that Allah sent to Prophet Moses. I wish I were younger. I wish I could live up to the time when your people would turn you out."

Muhammad (PUH) asked: "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa answered in the affirmative and said: "Anyone who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility. And if I should be alive till that day , then I would support you strongly". After some time Waraqa Died. (Raheeq P.69E) There can be no greater proof of advance information of appearance of the Prophet at Macca than the Holy Scripture. The Biblical Scholar Waraqa bin Nofel not only confirmed his Prophet-hood but also told him about his migration and desired to help him in his Divine mission.

Negus The Christian King Of Abyssinia :

A letter from The Prophet Muhammad (PUH) to the King Negus of Abissinia
written by one of  The Prophet Companions.
"From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, To the Negus, King of Abyssinia. Peace be upon him who follows the Guidance. I am grateful to Allah, there is no god but Him, and I bear witness that Jesus son of Mary was no more than a spirit created by Him, and His word («Be!» - and he was) which He bestowed on Mary, the Virgin, the good, the pure, so that she conceived Jesus. Allah created Him as He created Adam by His Hand. I call you to worship Allah Alone, and not to associate any partner with Him and (I call you) to His obedience and to follow me and to believe in that which was revealed to me, for I am the Messenger of Allah. I invite you and your men to Allah, the Exalted. I bear witness that I have communicated my message. I invite you to listen and accept my advice. Peace be upon him who follows true guidance."
The Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) accordingly stamped his letters with a silver seal on which was engraved: "Muhammad the Messenger of Allah."

 Prophet Muhammad 's silver seal

In 610 AD King Negus a kind Christian ruled Habsha (Ethiopia or Abyssinia). When Muslim families were much persecuted at Macca, the Holy Prophet (PUH) advised his companions to migrate to Habsha. In Rajab 8 BH, (April 615 AD) 12 men and 4 women including Usman bin Affan and his wife Ruqayya( daughter of the Holy Prophet) left secretly through Shoeba port. They were well received there. This group returned in Shawwal, the same year. Again another group of 83 men and 18 or 19 women including Jafar bin Abi Talib, the cousin of the Holy Prophet and his wife Asma bint Amees migrated to Habasha secretly.
Quraish could not tolerate the expanding influence of Islam in the neighboring powerful kingdom. They sent a
deputation under Amr Ibn al Aas and Abdullah bin Rabia with nice and valuable gifts to the king and the pope to win their favour. The envoys advocated that the Muslim refugees should be turned out and handed over to them because they abandoned the religion of their forefathers and their leader was preaching a religion against their religion and thatof the king.
The Christian king summoned the Muslims to the court and inquired about the teaching of their religion. Muslims were quite worried but they decided to trust on Allah alone and tell the whole truth what ever the consequences may be. Ja'far bin Abi Talib stood up and addressed the king in the following words:

"O, King! we were plunged in the depth of ignorance
and barbarism; we adored idols, we lived in un-chastity,
we ate the dead bodies, and we spoke abominations, we
disregarded every feeling of humanity, and the duties
of hospitality and neighborhood were neglected; we
knew no law but that of the strong.
When Allah raised among us a man, of whose birth,
Truthful-ness, honesty and purity we were aware; and
he called to the Oneness of Allah, and taught us
not to associate anything with Him .He forbade us
the worship of idols; and he enjoined us to speak
the truth, to be faithful to our trust ,to be merciful
and to regard the rights of the neighbors
and kith and kin; he forbade us to speak
evil of women, or to eat the substance of orphans;
he ordered us to fly from vices, and to abstain
from evil; to offer prayers, to render alms,
and to observe fast.
We have believed in him, we have accepted
his teachings and his injunctions to worship Allah,
and not to associate anything with Him,
and we have allowed what He has allowed,
and prohibited what He has prohibited.
For this reason, our people have risen against us,
have persecuted us in order to make us forsake
the worship of Allah and return to the worship
of idols and other abominations. They have
tortured and injured us,until finding no safety
among them, we have come to your country,
and hope you will protect us from oppression". (AHS 96)

The King was much impressed by these words and asked the Muslims to recite some from Allah’s Reveletion. Jaafer recited the opening verses of Surah Mariam (chapter 19) where the story of the birth of Yahya (John) and Jesus Christ, is told down to the account of Mary having been fed with the food miraculously. Thereupon the king, and the bishops of the realm were moved to tears that rolled down his cheeks and even wet his beard. Here the Negus exclaimed “ It seems as if these words and those which were revealed to Jesus are the rays of the light which have radiated from the same source.”
Turning to the crest fallen envoys of Quraish , he said, I am afraid I cannot give you back these refugees. They are free to live and worship in my realm as they please.” On the morrow, the two envoys again went to the king and said that Muhammed (PUH) and his followers blasphemed Lord Jesus Christ . Again the Muslims were summoned and asked what they thought of Jesus. Ja'far again stood up and replied.” We speak about Jesus as we have been taught by our Prophet, that is, he is the servant of God, His Apostle, His spirit and His word breathed into virgin Mary.” The king at once remarked “ Even so do we believe Blessed be ye and blessed be your Master” Then turning to the frowning envoys he said,” You may fret and fume as you like but Jesus is nothing more than what Ja'far has said about him”. He then assured the Muslims of full protection.
He returned to the Quraish envoys the gifts they had brought with them and sent them away. The Muslims lived in Abyssinia unmolested for a number of years till they returned to Madina. (AHS 97) King Nejashi (Negus) was learned and wise he recognized and attested the Divine message clearly saying “ It seems as if these words and those revealed to Jesus are the rays of light radiated from the same source.”

Heraclius The Byzantine Ruler :

street  from byzantine , Jerusalem

In the end of 6th year of Hijrah (Migration)  Holy Prophet (PUH) wrote letters to the leading rulers of the world. Byzantine and the Sassanides were the two super powers of the time. Holy Prophet invited the two emperors to embrace Islam. Dahiya bin Khalifa al Kalbi was sent to deliver the letter to the ruler of Busra for onward transmission to the emperor Heracliusat Elia.
Incidentally Abu Sufyan was in Syria on a business trip. King Heraclius summoned the Mekkans to his court and asked Abu Sufyan many questions about the Prophet and his religion.

The first question he asked about him was:

‘What is his family status amongst you?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘He belongs to a good (noble) family amongst us.’

Heraclius further asked, ‘Has anybody amongst you ever claimed the same (i.e. to be a Prophet) before him?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘No.’

He said, ‘Was anybody amongst his ancestors a king?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘No.’

Heraclius asked, ‘Do the nobles or the poor follow him?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘It is the poor who follow him.’

He said, ‘Are his followers increasing decreasing (day by day)?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘They are increasing.’

He then asked, ‘Does anybody amongst those who embrace his religion become displeased and renounce the religion afterwards?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘No.’

Heraclius said, ‘Have you ever accused him of telling lies before his claim (to be a Prophet)?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘No. ‘

Heraclius said, ‘Does he break his promises?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘No. We are at truce with him but we do not know what he will do in it.’ I could not find opportunity to say anything against him except that.

Heraclius asked, ‘Have you ever had a war with him?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘Yes.’

Then he said, ‘What was the outcome of the battles?’

Abu Sufyan replied, ‘Sometimes he was victorious and sometimes we.’

Heraclius said, ‘What does he order you to do?’

Abu Sufyan said, ‘He tells us to worship God and God alone and not to worship anything along with Him, and to renounce all that our ancestors had said. He orders us to pray, to speak the truth, to be chaste and to keep good relations with our Kith and kin.’

Heraclius asked the translator to convey to  Abu Sufyan  the following: " I asked you about his family and your reply was that he belonged to a very noble family. In fact all the Apostles come from noble families amongst their respective peoples. I questioned you whether anybody else amongst you claimed such a thing, your reply was in the negative. If the answer had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man was following the previous man’s statement. Then I asked you whether anyone of his ancestors was a king. Your reply was in the negative, and if it had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man wanted to take back his ancestral kingdom.
I further asked whether he was ever accused of telling lies before he said what he said, and your reply was in the negative. So I wondered how a person who does not tell a lie about others could ever tell a lie about Allah (Arab word that means God , Creator of the whole universe) . I, then asked you whether the rich people followed him or the poor. You replied that it was the poor who followed him. And in fact all the Apostle have been followed by this very class of people. Then I asked you whether his followers were increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were increasing, and in fact this is the way of true faith, till it is complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there was anybody, who, after embracing his religion, became displeased and discarded his religion. Your reply was in the negative, and in fact this is (the sign of) true faith, when its delight enters the hearts and mixes with them completely. I asked you whether he had ever betrayed. You replied in the negative and likewise the Apostles never betray. Then I asked you what he ordered you to do. You replied that " he ordered you to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship any thing along with Him and forbade you to worship idols and ordered you to pray, to speak the truth and to be chaste. If what you have said is true, he will very soon occupy this place underneath my feet and I knew it (from the scriptures) that he was going to appear but I did not know that he would be from you, and if I could reach him definitely, I would go immediately to meet him and if I were with him, I would certainly wash his feet." (Raheeq 357).

Heraclius then asked for the letter addressed by The Prophet of God Amighty which was delivered by Dihya to the Governor of Busra, who forwarded it to Heraclius to read. The contents of the letter were as follows:

the letter addressed by The Prophet of God Almighty to Heraclius Emperor of Rome

"In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful (This letter is) from Muhammad the slave of Allah and His Apostle to Heraclius the ruler of Byzantine. Peace be upon him, who follows the right path. Furthermore I invite you to Islam, and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your Arisiyin (peasants). (And I recite to you Allah’s Statement:)

‘O people of the scripture! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to Allah) (3:64)'."
Abu Sufyan then added, “When Heraclius had finished his speech and had read the letter, there was a great hue and cry in the Royal Court. So we were turned out of the court. I told my companions that the question of Ibn-Abi-Kabsha) (the Prophet Muhammad) has become so prominent that even the King of Bani Al-Asfar (Byzantine) is afraid of him. Then I started to become sure that he (the Prophet) would be the conqueror in the near future till I embraced Islam (i.e. Allah guided me to it).”
Ibn An-Natur was the Governor of llya’ (Jerusalem) and Heraclius was the head of the Christians of Sham(Syria) . Ibn An-Natur narrates that once while Heraclius was visiting ilya’ (Jerusalem), he got up in the morning with a sad mood. Some of his priests asked him why he was in that mood? Heraclius was a foreteller and an astrologer. He replied, ‘At night when I looked at the stars, I saw that the leader of those who practice circumcision had appeared (become the conqueror). Who are they who practice circumcision?’ The people replied, ‘Except the Jews nobody practices circumcision, so you should not be afraid of them (Jews).
‘Just Issue orders to kill every Jew present in the country.’
While they were discussing it, a messenger sent by the king of Ghassan to convey the news of Allah ’s Apostle to Heraclius was brought in. Having heard the news, he (Heraclius) ordered the people to go and see whether the messenger of Ghassan was circumcised. The people, after seeing him, told Heraclius that he was circumcised. Heraclius then asked him about the Arabs. The messenger replied, ‘Arabs also practice circumcision.’
(After hearing that) Heraclius remarked that sovereignty of the ‘Arabs had appeared. Heraclius then wrote a letter to his friend in Rome who was as good as Heraclius in knowledge. Heraclius then left for Homs. (a town in Syrian and stayed there till he received the reply of his letter from his friend who agreed with him in his opinion about the emergence of the Prophet and the fact that he was a Prophet. On that Heraclius invited all the heads of the Byzantines to assemble in his palace at Homs (City in Syria). When they assembled, he ordered that all the doors of his palace be closed. Then he came out and said,: ‘O Byzantines! If success is your desire and if you seek right guidance and want your empire to remain then give a pledge of allegiance to this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).’
(On hearing the views of Heraclius) the people ran towards the gates of the palace like onagers but found the doors closed. Heraclius realized their hatred towards Islam and when he lost the hope of their embracing Islam, he ordered that they should be brought back in audience.
(When they returned) he said, ‘What already said was just to test the strength of your conviction and I have seen it.’ The people prostrated before him and became pleased with him, and this was the end of Heraclius’s story (in connection with his faith).

Prophet Mohammad (PUH) In Taurah :

"Ashkenazi Megillah" This scroll is one of the oldest extant. The shape of the letters as well as the condition of the parchment help to establish where it was created and the date of its completion

Prophet Moses was well aware of Prophet Mohammed (PUH) and found him and his nation written in the Sacred Tablets. The Holy Quran refers vividly that Prophet Mohammed (PUH) was clearly mentioned in The Torah and The Bible (the Old and New Testament) prior to their distortion.
The people of the Book know This (Message & the Messenger) As they know their own sons: But some of them conceal the Truth Which they themselves know. (The Holy Qur'an 2:146)

And further:

"Those who follow the Apostle, The unlettered Prophet, Whom they find mentioned In their own (scriptures), In the Law and the Gospel:- For he commands them What is just and forbids them What is evil; he allows Them as lawful what is good (And pure) and prohibits them From what is bad (and impure): He releases them From their heavy burdens And from the yokes That are upon them. So it is those who believe In him, honor him, Help him, and follow the Light Which is sent down with him, It is they who will prosper." (The Holy Qur'an 7:157)

Prophecies about him will be found in the Taurat and Injeel. In the reflex of the Taurat as now accepted by the Jews, Moses says:
"The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me." (Deut.xviii.15)
The only Prophet who brought a Shariat (the Law) like that of Moses was Muhammad (PUH), and he came of the House of Ismail the brother of Issac the father of Israel. Further in the reflex of the Gospel as now accepted by the Christians, Christ promised another comforter(John, xiv. 16) The Greek word Paraclete which the Christians interpret as referring to the (Holy Spirit) is by our Scholars taken to be Periclyte, which would be the Greek form of Ahmad. (AYA note 1127)

In The Parallel Hebrew Old Testament

חכו ממתקים וכלו
מחמדים זה דודיוזה רעי בנותירושלם׃  (Song Of Songs which is Solomon's- Chapter 5 ; Verse 16)

מחמד This word is Pronounced as Muhammad-IM which means Muhammad but it's translated in the writings as :

Darby's English Translation:

5:16 His mouth is most sweet: Yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, yea, this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

The Bible recorded clearly about Prophet Mohammad (PUH):

The Most Old Bible written by The Original Aramaic language
Known as The Gospel of St. Barnabas (Joseph Lawit )

If Ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. (John XIV 15-16)
Being aware that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) was destined to come after him and that he would be a prophet-king, Jesus (PUH) said: Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away : for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you. But if I depart, I will send him unto you.
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement. (John XVI-7) Referring to the completion of Scriptures and the exposition of all truths by Muhammad (peace be on him), to his prophecies and to his revelation, Jesus observed:

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 12-13)

And Again:
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth ;and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Deoteronomy xviii 18-19)
The expression "their brethren" in the verses refers to the children of Ismail who are the brethren of the Israelites. (AHS 48-49)

The Holy Quran quotes a wording of Jesus Christ beyond any doubt:
And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you confirming The Law (which came) Before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Apostle To come after me, Whose name shall be Ahmad, But when he came to them With Clear Signs, they said, "This is evident sorcery!." (The Holy Qu'an 61:6)
"Ahmad" or "Muhammad", "the Praised One", is almost a translation of the Greek word "Periclytos". In the present Gospel of John,xiv.16, xv.26,and xvi.7, the word "Comforter" in the English version is for the Greek word "Paracletos", which mean "Advocate", one called to the help of another, "a kind friend", rather than "Comforter".Our doctors contend that Paracletos is a corrupt reading for Periclytos, and that in the original saying of Jesus there was a prophecy of our Holy Prophet Ahmad by name. Even if we read Pracletes, it would apply to the Holy Prophet who is "a Mercy for all creatures" (11: 107) and "most kind and merciful to the Believers" (9:128) (AYA note 5438)
Prophet Abraham, Moses and Jesus Christ (peace and blessings be upon them all) were the three great personalities of the ancient world of BC era who received the Divine scriptures. All these three leaders of the world prophecied about the emergence of the last Prophet for the completion of the Divine Mission on earth.
The advent of Islam was not a sudden incident in the world history. There were two divine religions the Judaism and Christianity prevailing in the world. Both had their Holy scriptures, the Torah and the Gospel. Though there were many alterations in these books but still there were many saints and monks who read the facts about the appearance of a new prophet like Moses and Jesus Christ. We find many traces in history talking the people about and awaiting the new Messenger of Allah.

Prophet Jesus Christ's birth and end of life were both a mystery. The Holy Quran exposed the misconception of the Jews and the Christians about Prophet Jesus Christ:

That they rejected faith that they uttered against Mary A false charge That they said (in boast) we killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary The Apostle of Allah But they killed him not Nor crucified him But so it was made to appear to them. And those who differ Therein are full doubts With no (certain) knowledge But only conjecture to follow For of surety They killed him not. Nay Allah raised him up unto Himself and Allah is exalted in Power Wise. (The Holy Qur'an4:156-158)

The Orthodox Christian Churches make it a cardinal point of their doctrine that his life was taken on the Cross, that he died and was buried, that on the third day he rose in the body with his wound intact, and walked about and conversed, and ate with his disciples, and was afterwards taken up bodily to heaven. This is necessary for the theological doctrine of blood sacrifice and vicarious atonement for sins, which is rejected by Islam. But some of the early Christian sects did not believe that Christ was killed on the Cross. The Basilidans believed that some-one else was substituted for him. The Docetae held that Christ never had a real physical or natural body, but only an apparent or phantom body, and that his Crucifixion was only apparent, not real. The Marcionite Gospel (about AD 138) denied that Jesus Christ was born and merely said that he appeared in human form.

The Gospel of St. Barnabas supported the theory of substitution on the Cross. The Quranic teaching is that Christ was not crucified nor killed by the Jews, notwithstanding certain apparent circumstances which produced that illusion in the minds of some of his enemies; that disputations, doubts and conjectures on such matters are vain; and that he wastaken up to God. (A.Y.A. note 663 )

Prophet Abraham Prays For Prophet Mohammed (PUH) :

"Ka'aba" the House that Prophets Abraham and Ismail Built

It was this Prophet who settled his posterity in the barren valley of Makkah and later he laid the foundation of the Holy Ka'aba, the first House of monotheism on earth. When raising the walls of the sacred House, he could foresee through his prophetic vision, the future of his progeny from his two sons Ismail and Is-haq (Izak). “Abraham and his elder son Isma-il then built the Ka'aba and established the rites and usages of the sacred city. He was thus the founder of the original Islam (which is as old as mankind) in Arabia. As becomes a devout man, he offers and dedicates the work to God in humble supplication addressing Him as the All-Hearing and the All-Knowing. He then asks for a blessing on himself and his progeny generally, both children of his eldest-born Ismail and his younger son Issac.
With prophetic vision he foresees that there will be corruption and backsliding in both branches of his family: Makkah will house 360 idols, and Jerusalem will become a harlot city (Ezekeil xvi. 15), a city of abdomination. But the light of Islam will shine, and reclaim the lost people in both branches and indeed in all the world. So he prays for God's mercy addressing Him as the Oft-Returning. Most Merciful. And finally he foresees in Mekka an apostle teaching the people as one "of their own", and in their own beautiful Arabic language: he asks for a blessing on Muhammad's ministry, appealing to the Power and Wisdom of God. (A Y A , note 129)

And remember Abraham and Ismail Raised the foundation of the House (With this prayer) Our Lord Accept (this service) from us For Thou art the All Hearing The All Knowing. Our Lord make of us Muslims bowing to Thy (Will) And of our progeny A people Muslims bowing to Thy (Will) And show us our places for The celebration of (due) rites And turn unto us (in Mercy) For Thou art the Oft Returning, Most Merciful. Our Lord , send amongst them An Apostle of their own, Who shall rehearse Thy Signs To them and instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom and sanctify them For Thou art the Exalted in Might, The Wise. (The Holy Qu'an 2:127-129)
It was this prayer of Prophet Abraham and Ismail, which was accepted by Almighty God and Prophet Mohammed was born after about 2500 years in 571 AD. There is a place marked as Maqam-i-Ibrahim in Harem and Imam leads the prayers from there. Another place is marked as Hijr Ismail (Hateem) which is a part of Holy Kaaba named after these two pious forefathers.

Holly Prophet (PUH) In Hindu Vedas :

There are four Vedas the sacred Books of Hinduism named Rigved, Samved, Yajurved and Athurved. Besides myth magic and cantation they also contain few sparkling verses which are supposed to be the fragments of Divine message given to Prophet Noah and Abraham (A.S.) Though these words are wrapped into many covers but still real meanings may be derived by Muslim Sanskrit scholars. Hari vansh Puran describes the story of Adam. Regarding Prophet Noah, Mr. Dubois in his famous book 'Hindu Manners', Customs and Ceremonies, writes that a famous personality who escaped with his seven desciples from the great Flood is called Maha Nuvu is none but Noah the great. (Maha in Sanskirt means great) (Shams Naved 124) According to Old Testament only eight persons entered the ark along with Noah. (Waheeduddin Khan p 13) Bhavish Puran (The treatise of the future) is very important document on early prophets. But to decipher it, is a difficult task. It contains clear indications about Prophet Mohammed (PUH). There is also an important Ashlok in Shrimad Bhagvat Geeta which reads as under;
agyan hetu kirit Mohammada andhkar , nasham vidhyay am hit do diyatay viveka.

(when after long periods of ignorance, humanity will be bestowed with Divine guidance then the darkness shall disappear at the hands of Mohammad and a new era of rationalism and wisdom shall prevail)
Here the word Mohammad is claverly splitted into Moh and Med which means greed and wine to spoil the real meaning of the Ashlok. (Naved 130) Generally word Nirashans (Praise worthy) has been used in Sanskrit Vedas for Prophet Mohammed (PUH) as Parcelete has been used in the Bible. Both these words stand for similar meaning in different languages. Rigveda quotes Nirashans at 16 places. Further it is recorded ten times in Yajurved, four times in Athurved and and at one place in Samved. Totally Prophet Mohammed (PUH) is referred in the four Vedas at 31 places. (Naved 132) Moreover Rigved Mantra 1-163-1 refers a person as “Samudra- dut-arban” in Sanskrit which is decyphered through Vishal Nalanda Shabd Sagar Dictionary as (“sa=with, Mudra=seal, doot=envoy, arban=of Arab,”) Arabian Prophet as a seal of prophet-hood. (Prophet Mohammed (PUH) is famous as the seal of prophets) There are also many other references about the Holy Prophet (PUH) in Sanskrit Vedas which have now been traced out by Muslim scholars.

Mercy to the World -Ten years of Turmoil

El Arquam House:

Arquam House where the First Muslims used to meet with the Prophet Muhammad (PUH)
  at Al Safa

For the first three years of Prophet-hood Apostle of Allah (PUH) preached Islam secretly and silently and raised the first contingent of 40 persons. But when Almighty Allah commanded him to declare the mission openly he adopted the most popular way for a call at Safa. He first enquired the gathering about himself and they unanimously said, “We have always known you to be truthful”. How intelligent was he to take an attestation of his character before declaring the message of Allah. Then at the second moment he declared his `Mission of Islam’. And suddenly the whole Makkan society turned into hostile gathering. Nobody answered his call, they dispersed murmuring among themselves. It was only Abu Lahab (his own real uncle) who cursed Holy Prophet Muhammad (PUH) saying “Perdition to thee (You be ruined). For this you invited us”. This was an strange experience. The whole society which was testifying his piety, nobleness and truthfulness just a minute ago suddenly turned against him and even his own blood relation started cursing upon him in the public. Abu Lahab’s behaviour was very tragic. Almighty Allah cursed Abulahab in the same words in Holy Quran saying, Perdition to Abu Lahab. “The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. His wealth and gains will not exempt him. He will be plunged in flaming fire” (111:12-3 MMP). Historically the Muslims around the world are repeating the words “Perdition to Abu Lahab” for the last 1400 years for his crime. He was the only opponent denounced by name in Holy Quran. Surprisingly, a surah just before it, reads about the great triumph of Holy Prophet (PUH) showing the great success of his mission." When comes the help from Allah and Victory. And thou dost see the people Enter the religion of Allah " Holy Qu'aan In crowds. (110:1-2).
The Makkans noted the prophet-hood of Muhammad (PUH) for three years as his personal matter. But with the declaration at Safa it became an open challenge to the entire pagan society. Then started a campaign of hatred, humiliation, mockery, teasing and torturing  Prophet Muhammad (PUH) and his followers. This painful campaign continued for complete ten years. But on the other hand Almighty Allah commanded him to proclaim his mission in clear words, guaranteeing his success and protection : So Proclaim that which Thou art commanded And turn away from the idolaters "Lo We defend thee from the scoffers.Holy Qu'aan  (15:94-95 MMP)".
The call of Islam moved forward through all hurdles and hardship as a ship sails through rocky ridges and turbulent seas. Many new converts were beaten, tortured and even killed but whosoever embraced Islam once, never forsook it but safe-guarded it, even at the cost of his or her life. Sumaiyyah (R.A.) was the first lady, martyred in Islam. Ammar bin Yasir (R.A.), Khabbab bin Art (R.A.), Uthman bin Affan (R.A.), Amir bin Fuhairah (R.A.), Bilal bin Rabah (R.A.),and Musai’b bin Umair (R.A.) were the people most tortured by their relatives and masters for embracing Islam. The analysis of all blames hurled upon the Prophe Muhammad (PUH) shows that they tried to mislead the people by calling him a `Liar’, `Kahen’(soothsayer), `Majnun’ (a diseased or possessed by jinn) a `Shair’ (poet) or a `Sahir’ (magician). Holy Quran quoted their mischiefs in different Suras as (6:15, 4:38, 51:68, 5:25, 4:25, 103:16) and defended him against all these false allegations. On one occasion, the pagans reported all these bad titles about Holy Quran and Holy Prophet (PUH) to their mischief leader :Waleed bin Mughaira but he refuted them all, saying that Holy Quran, what Prophet Muhammad (PUH) recites, was so beautiful, meaningful and rythmatic. Holy Prophet in his person also has no such sign or symptoms that he may be termed with any such notorious titles.
Similarly, another pagan chief Nadr bin Harith who had enough experience in travelling to Syria and Iraq and metmany type of people said:
Muhammad (PUH) grew up here among you and always proved to be highly obliging, the most truthful and
trustworthy young man. However, later on when he reached manhood, he began to preach a new faith alien to your society, and opposed to your liking so you began to denounce him at a time as a sorcerer, at another as soothsayer, a poet, or even an insane man. I swear by Allah he is not anyone of those. He is not interested in blowing on knots as magicians are, nor do his words belong to the world of soothsaying; he is not a poet either, for his mentality is not that of a rambler, nor is he insane because he has never been witnessed to develop any sort of hallucinations or insinuations peculiar to madmen. (Raheeq E90) Almighty Allah refuted all these allegations about Prophet Muhammad (PUH) and said that he was not only Truthful and Trust worthy "Ameen" , but on (Sublime morals)" Khuluq -in-Azeem". The Islamic mission was passing through a critical stage when suddenly Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib declared his Islam to Abu Jehal and other pagan chiefs. This incited them more and they increased their wrath on the Muslim converts.

Migration to Abyssinia (Ethiopia) :

When the situation became intolerable Prophet Muhammad (PUH) suggested few families to migrate to Habasha (now Ethiopia) across the Red sea. Subsequently, the first group of sixteen persons left their hearth and home for the sake of their faith in Rajab 08 (Before Hijra). Uthman bin Affan (R.A.) and his wife Ruqaiyyah (daughter of Holy Prophet (PUH) were among them. They caught ready boats at Shoeba port (80 km south of Jeddah) and escaped. The pagan followed the group up to Shoeba but failed to prevent them.
The declaration of Islam by Hamza (R.A.) and Umar Ibn El khattab (R.A.) and safe migration of Muslims to Habasha were three great factors which stabilised the growth of Islam in native as well as in foreign land. were out in their rage they broke their vengeance on the poor Muslims. This resulted in the second migration to Habasha. This time 82 men and 18 women left their home to a foreign land to save their faith.
The Mushrikeen again tried to arrest them at Shoeba. But Allah Almighty saved them and they escaped unhurt. Quraish so disgraced, sent a deputation to the court of King Najashi to arrest and extradite these Muslim from Habasha.Amr ibn al Aas and Abdullah bin Rabia , (who both embraced Islam later) stood in the Royal Court leveling charges against Muslims. Jaafer bin Abi Talib (R.A.) advocated for Islam and gave his master-piece speech which moved the heart of King Najashi Arch bishop and the courtiers. And the Makkans deputation returned to Makkah in utter failure.Quraish realised the real gravity of the situation. The message which they were opposing with mockery and persecution had taken the real shape. It won two chiefs of Makkah and also got deep footing abroad. They decided now to deal with Holy Prophet (PUH) direct. There were only two choices. Either to stop him from his message or to wipe him out from the scene. In this They approached Abu Talib and complained about his nephew.
The leaders of Quraysh, however, were none the less determined that they should not be left in peace, to establish there, beyond their control, a dangerous community which might be increased tenfold if other converts joined them. So they speedily thought out a plan, and made ready a quantity of presents of a kind that the Abyssinians were known to value most. Leatherwork they prized above all, so a large number of fine skins were collected, enough to make a rich bribe for every one of the Negus's generals. There were also rich gifts for the Negus himself. Then they carefully chose two men, one of whom was 'Amr ibn al-'As, of the clan of Sahm. Quraysh told them exactly what to do: they were to approach each of the generals separately, give him his present, and say:
“Some foolish young men and women of our people have taken refuge in this kingdom. They have left their own religion, not for yours, but for one they have invented, one that is unknown to us and to yourselves. The nobles of their people have sent us to your king on their account, that he may send them home. So when we speak to him about them, counsel him to deliver them into our hands and have no words with them.”
The generals all agreed, and the two men of Quraysh took their presents to the Negus, asking that the emigrants should be given into their hands and explaining the reason as they had done to the generals, and finally adding: “The nobles of their people, who are their fathers, their uncles and their' kinsmen, beg thee to restore them unto them." The generals were present at the audience, and now with one voice they urged the Negus to comply with their request and give up the refugees, inasmuch as kinsmen are the best judges of the affairs of their kinsmen. But the Negus was displeased and said:

“Nay, by God, they shall not be betrayed - a people that have sought my protection and made my country their abode and chosen me above all others! Give them up I will not, until I have summoned them and questioned them concerning what these men say of them. If it be as they have said, then will I deliver them unto them, that they may restore them to their own people. But if not, then will I be their good protector so long as they seek my protection."
Then he sent for the companions of the Prophet, and at the same time assembled his bishops, who brought with them their sacred books and spread them open round about the throne. ‘Amr Ibn el As' and his fellow envoy had hoped to prevent this meeting between the Negus and the refugees, and it was indeed in their interests to prevent it, even more so than they realized.
The Abyssinians were Christians, many of them devout; they had been baptized, they worshiped the One God, and they carried in their flesh the sacrament of Eucharist. As such they were sensitive to the difference between the sacred and the profane, and they were keenly conscious of the profanity of men like 'Amr'. So much the more were they receptive - none more than the Negus himself - to the impression of holy earnestness and depth which was made on them by the company of believers who were now ushered into the throne room, and a murmur of wonderment arose from the bishops and others as they recognized that here were men and women more akin to themselves than to such of Quraish as they had previously encountered. Moreover, most of them were young, and in many of them their piety demeanor was enhanced by a great natural beauty.
Not for all of them had the emigration been a necessity. ‘Uthman’s family had given up trying to make him (ra) recant, but the Prophet none the less allowed him to go and to take with him Ruqayyah (ra). Their presence was a source of strength to the community of exiles. Another couple very pleasing to look upon were Ja’far (ra) and his wife Asma' (ra). They were well protected by Abu Talib; but the refugees needed a spokesman and Ja'far was an eloquent speaker. He was also most winning in his person, and the Prophet said to him on one occasion: “Thou art like me in looks and character.” It was Ja'far he had chosen to preside over the community of exiles; and his qualities of attraction and intelligence were amply seconded by Musab of 'Abd ad-Dar (ra), a young man whom the Prophet was later to entrust with a mission of immense importance in virtue of his natural gifts.

When they were all assembled, the Negus spoke to them and said:
"What is this religion wherein ye have become separate from your people, though ye have not entered my religion nor that of any other of the folk that surround us?"
Ja'far answered him saying:

"O King, we were people steeped in ignorance, worshiping idols, eating unsacrificed carrion, committing abominations, and the strong would devour the weak. Thus we were, until Allah (The One True God) sent us a Messenger from out of our midst, one whose lineage we knew, and his veracity and his worthiness of trust and his integrity. He called us unto God, that we should testify to His Oneness and worship Him and renounce what we and our fathers had worshiped in the way of stones and idols; and he commanded us to speak truly, to fulfil our promises, to respect the ties of kinship and the rights of our neighbors, and to refrain from crimes and from bloodshed. So we worship God alone, setting naught beside Him, counting as forbidden what He hath forbidden and as licit what He hath allowed. For these reasons have our people turned against us, and have persecuted us to make us forsake our religion and revert from the worship of God to the worship of idols. That is why we have come to thy country, having chosen thee above all others; and we have been happy in thy protection, and it is our hope, O King, that here with thee we shall not suffer wrong."
The royal interpreters translated all that he had said. The Negus then asked if they had with them any Revelation that their Prophet had brought them from God and, when Ja'far answered that they had, he said: "Then recite it to me," whereupon Ja'far recited a passage from the Surah of Mary, which had been revealed shortly before their departure:

And make mention of Mary in the Book, when she withdrew from her people unto a place towards the east, and secluded herself from them; and We sent unto her Our Spirit, and it appeared unto her in the likeness of a perfect man. She said: I take refuge from thee in the Infinitely Good, if any piety thou hast. He said: I am none other than a messenger from thy Lord that I may bestow on thee a son most pure. She said: How can there be for me a son, when no man hath touched me, nor am I unchaste? He said: Even so shall it be; thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. That We may make him a sign for mankind and a mercy from Us; and it is a thing ordained.  Holy Qur'an 19:16-21.
d:
"This hath truly come from the same source as that which Jesus brought."
Then he turned to the two envoys of Quraysh and said:
"Ye may go, for by God I will not deliver them unto you; they shall not be betrayed."
But when they had withdrawn from the royal presence, 'Amr said to his companion: “Tomorrow I will tell him a thing that shall tear up this green growing prosperity of theirs by the roots. I will tell him that they aver that Jesus the son of Mary is a slave.” So the next morning he went to the Negus and said:

“O King, they utter an enormous lie about Jesus the son of Mary. Do but send to them, and ask them what they say of him."
So he sent them word to come to him again and to tell him what they said of Jesus, whereupon they were troubled, for nothing of this kind had ever yet befallen them. They consulted together as to what they should reply when the question was put to them, though they all knew that they had no choice but to say what God had said.
So when they entered the royal presence, and it was said to them: "What say ye of Jesus, the son of Mary?" Ja’far answered:

"We say of him what our Prophet brought unto us, that he is the slave of God and His Messenger and His Spirit and His Word which He cast unto Mary the blessed virgin."
The Negus took up a piece of wood and said:

“Jesus the son of Mary exceedeth not what thou hast said by the length of this stick."
And when the generals round him snorted, he added: "For all your snorting." Then he turned to Ja'far and his companions and said: "Go your ways, for ye are safe in my land. Not for mountains of gold would I harm a single man of you"; and with a movement of his hand towards the envoys of Quraysh, he said to his attendant: "Return unto these two men their gifts, for I have no use for them." So ‘Amr and the other man went back ignominiously to Mecca.
Meantime the news of what the Negus had said about Jesus spread among the people, and they were troubled and came out against him asking for an explanation, and accusing him of having left their religion. He thereupon sent to Ja'far and his companions and made ready boats for them and told them to embark and be ready to set sail if necessary. Then he took a parchment and wrote on it:
“He testifieth that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger and that Jesus the son of Mary is His slave and His Messenger and His Spirit and His Word which He cast unto Mary."
